I’m sorry I haven’t been on for so long. School, and such.. And with my mother being Asian, she never gave me much freedom to do anything. On most days, all I do is school, homework, chores then sleep. Not to mention I also have a brother to babysit.
Anyway, today I witnessed something really disturbing, and I felt the need to, well, tell someone about how I feel about the incident. Perhaps my followers would lend a listening ear. And if not, then it doesn’t matter, because it is not mandatory for you all to read anyway.
So, as you all know, Kira (eternalflames-) happens to be my friend irl. Let me tell you a bit more about her; like most people, she is very different from the kid she is on the internet and irl. In real life, Kira’s really a quiet person (though I must envy her for having the guts to tell anyone and everyone about how she truly feels every once in a while). Despite her telling everyone that she has a very short temper, she really is someone who can tolerate idiots and the like; she rarely loses her temper, to be honest. She treats everyone equally, etc etc.
Anyway, earlier this afternoon, Kira and I met for the first time after a long while. We, with a bunch of others, hanged out together, watched a movie, etc. Coincidentally, we met up with this one guy from our school who happens to be at the same mall as us. We all talked for a while, and I just couldn’t help noticing the way he treats Kira.
Said guy and Kira aren’t really close friends, but Kira really is a nice person; she could never bring herself to yell or even get angry at anyone. This whole year, she’s been treating the guy as if he was his brother or something, but he treated her like total garbage in return. Really, the way he spoke to her and all, like how brainless men treat slaves (or prostitutes?). It just.. pissed me off. I had a great urge to yell at him for mistreating Kira the whole time; I wanted to say, “Kira’s been treating you like a friend, Kira’s been so nice to you, why are you talking to her like she’s some kind of pest to you?”. Of course, I couldn’t bring myself to do it, since I don’t have the guts to.
It just makes me mad. Kira doesn’t deserve to be treated this way, after all the things she’s done for everyone.
The only reason why I’m only saying all this is because Kira’s my best friend, she’s like the sister I’ve always wanted. She deserves better. Way better.
EDIT: I forgot to add. The whole time, Kira continued to treat him nicely. Why so nice, Kira?
